Ivan Sindell founded Global Communications Systems Research in 1983 to provide fast response, customer driven, and independent telecommunications consulting engineering services. The company focuses on combining deep engineering capabilities to the evolving global telecommunications market.
Mr. Sindell is a technologist and project oriented management and technical leader. He has worked in huge international program environments and applied the lessons learned to small and medium sized projects. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) exam of Project Management Institute (PMI). He served on the Federal Communications Commission, National Coordination Committee (NCC) to advise the Commission on the operational and technical parameters for use of new Public Service frequencies in the 700 MHz band and he participated Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-41.X and TR 8.X 1900 MHz Wireless standards group. He is participated in the Advisory Committee (to the FCC) on Advanced Television Systems Experts Group on Scanning Formats and Compression. Mr. Sindell was given a Group Achievement Award form the National Aeronautics and Space Administration for work with Satellite Communications. Currently he is a system architect for Verizon Wireless during test of the Wireless Priority Service.
Recently Mr. Sindell has served as president of the Society of Telecommunications Consultants and as manager of the Consortium of School Networking’s (CoSN) Emerging Technologies Committee on Advanced Collaboration Technologies.
